Moodle Natural

The Natural aggregation method initially calculates the weight of all grade items based upon their maximum grade. Left unchanged, it will calculate grades precisely like Weight by Points. However, Natural allows you to override the calculated weight for any items you wish.

Natural with max grades totaling 50, weight percentages are automatically calculated to total 100

Natural also helps to ensure that all of the weights within the course (or category) total 100. After all of the desired weights are overridden, the remaining percentage is allocated to the remaining grade items based upon their maximum grades. Unless you override every single grade item within a course or category, this will ensure that the weights always depict the percentage of the total grade accounted for by each item:

Natural with max grades totaling 49, one overridden weight equalling 50, and the remaining percentages automatically calculated to total 100
